CELEX – Date of Compliance Field (transpos)

The Date of Compliance field in the CELEX database on Justis is part of the DATE group, and contains the date by which Member States must have complied with a piece of legislation. For example:

TRANSPOS     1999/08/31

Date searching in this field is restricted to searching for an exact or truncated date; the date search operators are not available. It is possible to use a search such as “1999 and 08”, but this will find documents for the 8th day of the month as well as for August.

In the Outline, this field is called “Date of Compliance”.

In documents, this field is shown as “TRANSPOS”.

If you want to use the Date of Compliance field on the Quick Search screen or in the Full Text box on the Search In EU screen, its name is “transpos”, and you can use a search such as:

transpos[1999/08*]

Used only in the Legislation database (Sectors 3 and 4).
