CELEX – Date of Notification Field (notified)

The Date of Notification field in the CELEX database on Justis is part of the DATE group, and contains the date of notification. For example:

1999/07/04

For Directives and for Recommendations of the European Coal and Steel Community, this date is the begining of the period during which Member States must implement the Act.

Date searching in this field is restricted to searching for an exact or truncated date; the date search operators are not available. It is possible to use a search such as "1997 and 07", but this will find documents for the 7th day of the month as well as for July.

In the Outline, this field is called “Date of Notification”.

In documents, this field is shown as “Date of Notification”.

If you want to use the Article References field on the Quick Search screen or in the Full Text box on the Search In EU screen, its name is “notified”, and you can use a search such as:

notified[1999/07*]

Used only in the Legislation database (Sectors 3 and 4).
