CELEX – Juridical Citations Field (jurcit)


The Juridical Citations field in the CELEX database on Justis is part of the Cross References group, and contains juridical citations, i.e. the CELEX document number(s) of the Acts quoted in the Judgment of a Court decision or in the text of an Advocate General’s Opinion. For example:

The CELEX documents numbers are followed by either “N” or “P” and one or more numbers. The “N” and numbers indicate ground numbers in the Judgment field or paragraph numbers in the Advocate General’s Opinion. The “P” and numbers indicate page numbers in European Court Reports.

Blue document numbers (e.g. 31972R1035-A02) indicate hypertext links to other documents – click a blue number to display the document.

In the Outline, this field is called “Juridical Citations”.

In documents, this field is shown as “Juridical Citations”.

If you want to use the Juridical Citations field on the Quick Search screen or in the Full Text box on the Search In EU screen, its name is “jurcit”, and you can use a search such as:

jurcit[31991X0704]

Used only in the Case Law database (Sector 6).
