CELEX Fields – Cross References Group

The CELEX fields in the Cross References group cross-refer a document to other documents within CELEX and always include a CELEX Document Number. The group includes the following fields:

Court Decision (courtdec)
Documents Amended (modifies)
Earlier Acts (earlacts)
Future Proposals (subsprep)
Juridical Citations (jurcit)
Legislative Base (legbase)
Legislative Citations (legcit)
List of Amendments (modified)
Precise Legal Point (concerns)

Use the Cross References group to retrieve a complete legislative history of any document.

In some of these fields, document numbers (e.g. 41995A1127(01)) are blue and are hypertext links; click a number with your mouse to display the full text of the referenced document.

In other fields, the document numbers are not hyperlinks, so if you wish to see one of the referenced documents:

select its number with your mouse;
click “J-Link” in the Document Actions panel.

The Cross References group is available with the Treaties, Legislation, Proposals, Case Law, Parliamentary Questions and EFTA Documents databases.

Use the Outline to move quickly to any particular field in a document. Use the Search In EU screen to search for terms in one or more of these fields.
