CELEX – Date of Despatch Field (despatch)

The Date of Despatch field in the CELEX database on Justis is part of the DATE group, and contains the date of despatch or debate of a Parliamentary Question, or the date of transmission of a Proposal or Resolution. For example:

Date of Despatch

1997/03/19;

Date searching in this field is restricted to searching for an exact or truncated date; the date search operators are not available. It is possible to use a search such as "1997 and 03", but this will find documents for the 3rd day of the month as well as for March.

In the Outline, this field is called “Date of Despatch”.

In documents, this field is shown as “Date of Despatch”.

If you want to use the Date of Despatch field on the Quick Search screen or in the Full Text box on the Search In EU screen, its name is “despatch”, and you can use a search such as:

despatch[1997/03*]

Used in the Proposals database (Sector 5) and the Parliamentary Questions database (Sector 9).
