Parliament – Introduction

The Parliament database is derived from PIMS (Parliamentary Information Management Services, the successor to POLIS – Parliamentary On Line Indexing Service ). PIMS is maintained and updated by House of Commons Library staff, and searched every day by MPs, peers and officials at the Palace of Westminster.

The Parliament database is a comprehensive bibliography and index to all the proceedings and publications of the House of Commons, the House of Lords, the National Assembly for Wales and the Northern Ireland Assembly, as well as to other information sources used by the Houses of Parliament. Material from the Scottish Parliament will be added as soon as possible.

The Parliament database includes documents from 1979 onwards, and is updated daily.
