Official Journal C Series – OJ Reference (Reference) field

The OJ Reference field in the Official Journal C Series database on Justis contains the year, publication number and item number, e.g. (1992/C 4/07) refers to item 7 of Official Journal C No 4 of 1992. Justis Publishing adds a more textual form of the same publication reference. For example:

Official Journal No. C 231, 1996, Item 5
(1996/C 231/05)

You can restrict your searches to documents published in a particular year by searching for the 4-digit year in this field.

If you want to use the OJ Reference field in a free-text search on the Search In EU screen, its name is “reference”, and you can use a search such as:

reference[2003]

If you see an OJ C publication reference elsewhere in a Justis database, and you wish to see the referenced document:

  1. select its publication reference (either version) with your mouse
  2. click “J-Link” in the Document Actions panel.

Using J-Link to display another document

Please note that the name of this field has changed from the previous versions of Justis, where it was called Publication Reference.
