CELEX – Legislative Base Field (legbase)
The Legislative Base field in the CELEX database on Justis is part of the Cross References group, and contains the CELEX document number(s) of the Treaties and Acts that provide the legal basis of the document in question. For example:

In order to search for references to a particular Treaty in this field, you need to know its CELEX document number.
Blue document numbers (e.g. 11992MK01-P9) indicate hypertext links to other documents – click a blue number to display the document.
In the Outline, this field is called “Legislative Base”.
In documents, this field is shown as “Legislative Base”.
If you want to use the Legislative Base field on the Quick Search screen or in the Full Text box on the Search In EU screen, its name is “legbase”, and you can use a search such as:
legbase[11992MK03]
Used in the Treaties database (Sector 1), the External Agreements database (Sector 2), the Legislation database (Sectors 3 and 4), the Proposals database (Sector 5), and the EFTA Documents database (Sector E).
