CELEX – Date of Document Field (doc)

The Date of Document field in the CELEX database on Justis is part of the DATE group, and contains the date of the document, such as the date of delivery of a Court Decision, or the date of adoption of an Act. For example:

Date of Document     1996/10/24

Date searching in this field is restricted to searching for an exact or truncated date; the date search operators are not available. It is possible to use a search such as "1996 and 10", but this will find documents for the 10th day of the month as well as for October.

In the Outline, this field is called “Date of Document”.

In documents, this field is shown as “Date of Document”.

If you want to use the Date of Document field on the Quick Search screen or in the Full Text box on the Search In EU screen, its name is “doc”, and you can use a search such as:

doc[1996/10*]
