CELEX – Document Author Field (author)


The Document Author field in the CELEX database on Justis is part of the BIBLIO group, and contains the name of the originating institution, body, country or person; or the name of an MEP (often just the surname) asking a question. For example:

Document Author     Council
Document Author     Court of Justice of the European Communities
Document Author     European Parliament; Vecchi; Kinnock
Document Author     Belgium ; Federal Republic of Germany ; Denmark ; France ; United Kingdom ; Greece ; Italy ; Ireland ; Luxembourg ; Netherlands

In the Outline, this field is called “Document Author”.

In documents, this field is shown as “Document Author”.

If you want to use the Document Author field on the Quick Search screen or in the Full Text box on the Search In EU screen, its name is “author”, and you can use a search such as:

author[belgium or netherlands]

Used in the Treaties database (Sector 1), the External Agreements database (Sector 2), the Legislation database (Sectors 3 and 4), the Proposals database (Sector 5), the Case Law database (Sector 6), the National Implementation database (Sector 7), the Parliamentary Questions database (Sector 9), the OJC Documents database (Sector C) and the EFTA Documents database (Sector E).
